Dorothy Oliphant

Dorothy Earlene Oliphant of Uvalde passed away on February 19, 2008 at her residence at the age of 82. She was born on June 19, 1925 in Coleman, TX to Ervin and Laura Bluemel Harrell. She married Grover Lee Oliphant in Uvalde on December 22, 1945. He preceded her in death on January 21, 2002. She is survived by two sons, Lanny Oliphant and wife, Linda; and Kenny Oliphant and wife, Kay all of Uvalde; daughter, Missy Stewart and husband, Paul of Montell; sister, Imogene Jett of Hobbs, NM; aunt, Cora Franks of Uvalde; nine grandchildren, Gena Oliphant; Cheyenne Mansfield; Brandon Oliphant; Kara Tolleson; Dustin Whittenburg; Sierra Oliphant; Kaitlin Stewart; Larry Oliphant; and Tammy Thornton; and 5 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2008, at 10:00 AM in Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev. Dan Bliss will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be Lanny Oliphant; Kenny Oliphant; Paul Stewart; Dustin Whittenburg; and Brandon Oliphant. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
