Dorothy Scheide

Dorothy Tooter Scheide of Uvalde passed away on September 8, 2009 in Life Care Hospital in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 84. She was born on January 25, 1925 in Normangee, Texas to Barney and Madge Lamb. She married Henry Scheide on September 7, 1946 in La Pryor. She was involved in many areas of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed participating in various Bible studies. She is survived by her husband of 63 years; two sons, Randy Scheide and wife, Debra of Uvalde; and Gary M. Scheide of Shenyang, China; a daughter, Cheryl Walker and husband, Jeff of Corpus Christi; three grandchildren, Jordyn Scheide; Cale Walker; and Cara Traylor and husband, Barret; one great-grandson, Tristan Traylor. She was preceded in death by a son, Billy Scheide; sisters, Mozelle Kelley and Madie O'Connor; and a grandson, Randall Scheide. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2009, at 10:00 AM at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev. Don Olson will officiate. Memorial donations may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church, 762 N. Getty St., Uvalde, TX 78801; or to the charity of one's choice.
