Dorothy Staudt Walker passed away on October 30, 2012 in San Antonio at the age of 86. She was born in San Marcos Texas on September 13, 1926 to Bill and Leah Staudt.
She was a graduate of San Marcos High School and earned a BA degree in Education from Southwest Texas State Teachers College in San Marcos. She also received a MA degree in Education from Odessa College. She taught in Texas public schools in Lockhart, Kerrville, Uvalde, Pecos and Odessa. She was a member of St. Philips Episcopal Church in Uvalde where she was active in Daughters of the King.
She is survived by her nephew, Walter Bubba Staudt of San Antonio and numerous cousins including Walter L. Buckner of Uvalde. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, General Walter B. Staudt.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Philips Episcopal Church with the Rev. Mike Marsh officiating.
