Edelmira Brown

Ella V. Brown of Uvalde passed away on February 14, 2014 at Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 88. She was born on October 7, 1925 in Del Rio to Amancio and Ester De Leon Villarreal. She married Charles R. Brown, Jr. in Laredo on October 8, 1954. She is survived by her son: Joe Villarreal and his wife Veronica of Uvalde, sisters Mary Savage of New Braunfels, Yolanda Zamora of Houston, and Rosalinda Ramirez of San Antonio, brother Alonzo Villarreal of Uvalde, grandchildren Joe Villarreal, Jr., Brock Eloy Villarreal, Michael Villarreal, and Jessica Koch Valadez, great grandchildren David Michael Villarreal, Cynthia Nicole Urquijo and 1 great great grandchild Iliana Sophia Urquijo. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister: Irene Arredondo, brothers Arturo Villarreal, Alfonso Villarreal and Alfredo Villarreal. A prayer service will be held on Sunday at 7:00 pm at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 17, 2014 at 11:00 am at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary, with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
