Edith Rand Waller of Uvalde died September 26, 2008 at the age of 81. She was born on March 19, 1927 to John Dewey and Mable Rand of Gillett, Arkansas. She married Ivan Waller in 1944 in Gillett, Arkansas. They were married 45 years. Edith is survived by a son, Charlie Waller and wife, Linda of Uvalde; daughter, Reesa Crook of Dermott, AR; granddaughter, Charlene Waller of San Antonio; three sisters, Arwilda Williams and Winnie Ruth Rand, both of Gillett, AR; and Burnice Finney of Dallas, TX; and many nieces, nephews, and grandnieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Waller; granddaughter, Rhonda Lynn Waller; parents, brothers, Leonard, Bud, and Fred Rand, and sister, Ruby Gordon. Edith was a member of Wilmot Baptist Church in Wilmot, AR. She was employed for 20 years at Uvalde Pump Service. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2008, at 2:00 PM at Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev. Scott Bradford will officiate. Pallbearers will be Dale Walker, Tommy Williams, Tommy Leonard, James Pivoda, Delfino Granado, and Robert Jeffery.
