Edmundo Garcia

Edmundo Gilbert Garcia of Uvalde passed away on December 2, 2018 in San Antonio at the age of 65. He was born on March 2, 1953 in Uvalde to Edmundo and Ninfa (Reyes) Garcia.
He is survived by his parents of Uvalde; sons, Jason Garcia of San Antonio and Geronimo Torres of Philadelphia; sister, Carmela Cano and husband, Antonio of Uvalde; and brother, Rene Garcia of Uvalde; 12 grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Fermin and Teresa Reyes and paternal grandparents, Martin and Ignacia Garcia.
Pallbearers will be Rene Garcia, II, Edmundo Fermin Cano, Raymundo Morales, Michael Gomes, Johnathon G. Garcia, Richard Vela and Danny Canales.
A rosary will be held on Monday and Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
