Eduardo Fernandez

Eduardo T. Fernandez of Uvalde passed away on July 19, 2017 at the Methodist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 72. He was born on August 13, 1944 in Gregory, Texas to Felix and Olivia (Trevino) Fernandez.
He is survived by his sons, Moses Fernandez and wife, Elia of Uvalde, Eduardo Fernandez, Jr. of Dallas and Victor Luis Fernandez of Uvalde; step sons, Benny Arriola and wife, Kathy of Houston and Joe Vasquez and wife, Veronica of Greeley, Colorado; step daughter, Luvin Lopez and husband, Arturo of San Antonio; sisters, Feliz Rodriguez of Artesia Wells, Texas, Lucia Quintanilla of Andalusia, Illinois, and Rosa Samora and husband, Sam of Uvalde; brothers, Joe Fernandez and wife Mari, Juan Ramon Fernandez and wife, Delia all of Uvalde, Juan Luis Fernandez of San Antonio and Fernando Fernandez and wife, Paula of Orion, Illinois; 27 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Maria G. Fernandez, parents, and brothers, Roberto Fernandez, and Manuel Fernandez.
A rosary will be held on Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, July 24, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Pallbearers will be Ely Moreno, Sam Samora, Moses Fernandez, Jr., Jesse Fernandez, Moses Fernandez, and Fernando Fernandez.
Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
