Edwin Atkinson

Edwin C. Atkinson of Uvalde passed away on April 26, 2010, in Cedar Hills in Campwood, Texas at the age of 79. He was born on June 3, 1930, in Choate, Texas to Bennett Hollis Benny and Gladys Atkinson. He married Jewel Clendening in La Pryor, Texas on January 27, 1950. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Jewel Atkinson of Uvalde, Texas three sons Dennis Wayne Atkinson and wife, Norma Robert Glenn Bob Atkinson and wife, Veronsett and Carroll Dean Atkinson and wife, Cindy all of Uvalde, Texas one brother Hollis Bennett Atkinson and wife, Shirley of Granbury, Texas six grandchildren eight great grandchildren numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents one grandson Justin Lee Atkinson two brothers Harvey Atkinson and Tommy Atkinson. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2010, at 3:00 PM at Baptist Temple Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Bro. Tony Gruben will be officiating. Memorials may be made to Baptist Temple Church 620 E. Main St., Uvalde, Texas 78801 or to the charity of ones choice.
