Efrain Rodriguez

Efrain Gutierrez Rodriguez of Uvalde passed away in Uvalde on July 31, 2018 at the age of 20. He was born on June 14, 1998 in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico to Efrain Bustos and Margarita Gutierrez Rodriguez.
He is survived by his mother of Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico; grandmother, Maria De Jesus Bustos of Musquiz, Coahuila, Mexico; sister, Yanira Bustos of Uvalde; brothers, Alex Gutierrez of Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico and Miguel Gutierrez of San Antonio; aunts, San Juana Flores and Martha Bustos Zamora both of Uvalde; uncles, Martin Bustos Banda, Pedro Bustos Banda both of Uvalde, Nicolas Bustos Banda of Acuna, Coahuila, Mexico; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandfather, Martin Bustos, Sr. and uncle, Juan Bustos Banda.
Efrain was a 2017 Uvalde High School graduate and team member of Uvalde Coyote football and track.
A rosary will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, August 6, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Diego Castillo, Javier Castillo, Chris Castillo , Leo Rodriguez , Christian Chapoy , Christian Flores, Jose Martinez III, Silvestre Flores, George Amaya, Larry Velasquez, Pedro Bustos Banda, Juan Flores, David Zamora Jr. , Joe Martin Zamora, Mathew Esparza, David O. Zamora and Martin Bustos Banda.
