Elena Gonzales

Elena C. Gonzales of Uvalde passed away on November 3, 2010 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital in Uvalde, Texas at the age of 87. She was born on August 14, 1923 in Uvalde, Texas to Pablo and Leandra Cruz. She married Francisco L. Gonzales in Uvalde, Texas.
She is survived by five daughters Mary Samarripa of Bakersville, Calif. Mary Esther Ahumada of Bakersville, Calif. Rosa Lynda Gonzales of Uvalde, Texas Sylvia Mariscal and husband Frank of Uvalde, Texas Luana Rodriquez and husband Juan of Little Rock, Ark. one son Fred Gonzales and wife Dolores of Uvalde, Texas fifteen grandchildren, twentyone great grandchildren, four greatgreat grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Francisco L. Gonzales, son Frank Gonzales, one sister Estefana Martinez, five brothers Augustin Cruz, Adolfo Cruz, Genaro Cruz, Severo Cruz, and Juan Cruz. A rosary will be held Thursday and Friday at 7:00 PM at RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mrs. Gonzales are Frank Mariscal, Tommy Mariscal, Juan Camacho, Fred Gonzales Jr., Gabriel Mariscal and John Anthony Camacho. Honorary pallbearers are Armin Ahumada, Armando Ahumada, Brandon Resendez, Adam Resendez, Eduardo Trinidad Jr. and Eric Camacho. Arrangements by RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary.
