Eleno Quijano

Eleno S. Quijano of La Pryor passed away on February @ 25, 2015 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 95. He was born on March 19, 1919 Gillisburg, Illinois to Jose and Refugia (Santos) Quijano. He is survived by daughters; Margarita Salazar and husband Apolinar, Elvira Darlene Alejandro and husband Gustavo, Francisca Tellez and husband Anatolio and Maria De Lourdes Lara and husband Juan all of La Pryor; sons, Joel Quijano and wife Francisca and Jesus Quijano and wife Rosa all of La Pryor; brother, Manuel Quijano of Uvalde. Forty-seven grandchildren, one hundred forty-seven great-grandchildren and ninety-four great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Isidora O. Quijano; son, Refugio Quijano; great-grandchildren, John Thomas Vasquez, Ricardo Rafael Castellanos, Tashae Quijano, Maricela Flores, Alyssandra Quijano and Aaron Estrada. A rosary will be held on Friday, February 27, 2015, Saturday, February 28, 2015 and Sunday, March 1, 2015 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 10:00am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in La Pryor. Burial will follow at La Pryor cemetery. Pallbearers will be Juan Quijano, Guadalupe Tellez, Jose Noel Quijano, Martin Quijano, Daniel Lara, Martin Salazar and Candelario Balderas.
