Elerta Mccarty

Elerta (Bobbie) O. Hobbs McCarty passed away October 21, 2016 after a lengthy illness. She was born October 2, 1928 in Barksdale, Texas to Otto and Velma Hobbs. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry McCarty and daughter, Cynthia Diane Johnson. She is survived by her grandsons, Craig Eric Johnson of San Antonio, and Stephen Eastley Johnson and wife Jane of New Braunfels; great-grandsons, Cody McCarty Johnson and Evan Eastley Johnson; son-in-law, Craig Eastley Johnson of New Braunfels; sisters, Roberta Gass of Uvalde and Estella Green and husband Bobby of San Antonio; and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, October 26th at 2:00 p.m. at Uvalde Cemetery in Uvalde, Texas.
