Elia Hinojosa of Uvalde passed away on March 18, 2019 in Uvalde at the age of 77. She was born on March 22, 1941 in Uvalde to Alfonso and Lydia (Acosta) Quiroga.
She married Andres Hinojosa in Uvalde on November 1962.
Elia is survived by her husband of 56 years of Uvalde; son, Andres Hinojosa, III of Uvalde; sister, Rosa Ortiz of Pearsall; nieces and nephews, Olga De Leon, Maricela De Leon, Rafael Ortiz, Roxanne Ortiz and Raymond Ortiz; and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Alfonso Quiroga, Jr. and sister, Santa De Leon.
A rosary will be held on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemtery.
