Elida Gonzales

Elida L. Gonzales of Uvalde passed away on April 24, 2012 at Uvalde Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 81. She was born on October 4, 1930 in Uvalde to Facundo Lara and Leonor Chapoy. She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca A. Gonzales, Sylvia Fernandez and Rosemary Gonzales all of Uvalde and Estela Flores of Crystal City son, John Paul Gonzales of Uvalde sister, Janice Estrada of Uvalde brothers, Richard Lara, Arnold Lara, Ben Hidalgo and Frank Hidalgo all of Uvalde, 25 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents husband, Jacinto Gonzales son, Deacon Ernest L. Gonzales and daughter, Maria Estela Gonzales. A rosary will be held on Tuesday April 24, 2012 and Wednesday April 25, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday April 26, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Uvalde Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ricardo Moreno Jr., Christopher Gonzales, John Paul Gonzales Jr., James Robert Gonzales, Jennifer Aguilar and Ginny Vega Pinales
