Elida Gonzales

Elida Mata Gonzales of Uvalde passed away on September 7, 2008 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 68. She was born on May 15, 1940 in Uvalde, Texas to Aniceto and Ofelia Mata. She is survived by two daughters; Patricia Nevarez and husband, Bobby and Jessica Morin all of Uvalde, Texas; three sons; Cristoval Gonzales and wife, Elizabeth of Lake Elsinore, California; Ricardo Gonzales of Uvalde, Texas; Roberto Gonzales and wife, Annabel of San Antonio, Texas; three sisters Helen Zamora and Josie Pacheco both of San Antonio, Texas; Cristina Losoya of Uvalde, Texas; one brother; Raymundo Mata of Uvalde, Texas; fifteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cristoval Gonzales Sr.; parents; and one brother; Aniceto Mata Jr. A rosary will be held Monday and Tuesday at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Julian Pacheco, Ricky Gonzales Jr., Christopher Gonzales, Nicolas Gonzales, Max Gonzales Jr., Jonathon Olivarez, Adrian Zamora, R.C. Gonzales and Matthew Morin.
