Elinor Monroe

Elinor Clara Luehlfing Monroe of Reagan Wells passed away on November 18, 2010 at Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 83. She was born on April 13, 1927 in New Braunfels, Texas to Werner Luehlfing and Elvira Tausch Luehlfing. She married Phillip Eugene Monroe in Bracken, Texas on November 6, 1946. She is survived by daughter, Carol Monroe Brown of Reagan Wells and special friend, Robert Earl Bristol of Surfside, TX. son, James Eugene Monroe and wife, Mary Beth Todd Monroe of Reagan Wells, TX. son, David Werner Monroe and wife, Sherry Garrett Monroe of Reagan Wells, TX. and daughter, Laura Monroe Malke and husband Johnny Ray Malke of Reagan Wells, TX. sister, Elaine Lehmann of Seguin, TX. sisterinlaw, Trudy Luehlfing of Jackson, Mississippi brotherinlaw, Leroy Lehmann of Seguin, TX. grandchildren, Jeffrey Michael Brown, James Todd Monroe, John Phillip Monroe, Julie Monroe Bastuk Cody Monroe Malke Jenny Monroe Cortez, Christopher Eugene Monroe, Jeana Faye Malke and greatgrandchildren, Anthony Michael Brown, Seth Michael Monroe, Dale Emil Brown, Steven Copp, Nik Copp, Jessica Copp, Zachary Gauge Monroe, Alexander Michael Bastuk, Emma Layne Malke, Evin Patrick Cortez, Graham Ethan Bastuk, Aislie Frances Monroe, Noah Luciano Cortez and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Phillip Eugene Monroe, parents sister Evelyn Edith Lehmann brother Waldemar Heinrich Luehlfing sisterinlaw Cora Kammerer brotherinlaw Arnold Lehmann Jr. and soninlaw, Howard Emil Brown Jr. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at 10:00 AM at the Reagan Wells Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Heard Cemetery. Brother Les Chaney will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Brown, Cody Malke, Todd Monroe, Jeana Malke, Ricky Musquez and Kenny Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be W. Patrick Dodson, Wyatt Hubbard Heard, Ray Langford, Roger Kammerer Jr., Jimmy Simons and Delva Carleton. Memorial donations may be made to El Progreso Memorial Library and to the charity of ones choice. Funeral arrangements are by RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary.
