Elisa Flores

Elisa Sotomayor Flores of Uvalde passed away on October 25, 2013 at her residence at the age of 97. She was born on May 6, 1916 in Del Rio to Juan and Rosenda Ozuna Sotomayor. She married Demencio Lopez Flores on January 16, 1939 in Brackettville. She is survived by her daughters, Ana Velia Gonzales of San Antonio, Estella Flores and husband Santos and Berta Estes all of Uvalde sons, Demencio Flores Jr. and wife Eva of San Antonio, Alfredo Flores and wife Delia, Johnny Flores and wife Dora and Raul Flores and wife Connie all of Uvalde sister, Guadalupe Medina of San Antonio 20 grandchildren 40 great grandchildren 17 greatgreat grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Demencio Lopez Flores parents sister, Nina Fernandez brothers, Carlos Sotomayor, Jesus Sotomayor, Alfredo Sotomayor and stepfather Pedro Garcia. A rosary will be held on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. and a vigil service on Monday at 7:00 p.m. at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with committal service to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Domingo Portillo, Justin Rodriguez, Jacob Rodriguez, Nathan Gonzales, Brandon Gonzales and Ernesto Martinez Jr.
