Ellwood Olson

Ellwood Ernest Olson of Uvalde passed away on March 14, 2011 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 81. He was born on September 25, 1929 in Ray, North Dakota to Ernest and Margaret Simpson Olson. He married Berniece Baumann in Monango, ND on December 28, 1971. He is survived by his wife of 39 years four daughters, Christie Aleshire and husband, Todd of Grand Forks, ND Dona Hauglie and husband, Bruce of Snohomish, WA Monica Johnson and husband, Wayne of Farmington, NM and Sarah Whaley and husband, Jason of Chandler, AZ one son, Michael Olson of Nashville, TN sister, Carol Rye and husband, Leon of Peoria, AZ brother, Ron Olson and wife, Judy of Garrison, ND 12 grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents a sister, and several aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Tioga, ND on Saturday, March 19, 2011. Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
