Elodia Rodrigues

Elodia Rodrigues of Batesville, passed away on November 28, 2022 at her residence at the age of 75.

She was born on May 4, 1947 in Batesville to Petra (Prado) Maldonado.

Elodia married Alden Pete Rodrigues on April 29, 1967 in Compton, California.

She is survived by daughters, Lillian Ramirez and husband Orlando of Batesville and Chastitie Rodrigues and husband Eric Vela of Bryan; son, Alden Pete Rodrigues Jr. and wife Paula Mae of Batesville; five sisters, Florinda Maldonado of Uvalde, Isabel Smith of Alice, Guadalupe Reyna of Pearland, Janie Soto of Pearland and Rose Mary Gonzales of Uvalde; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alden Pete Rodrigues, grandson, Emerson Vela, parents, three brothers, Reynaldo Prado, Guadalupe Maldonado and Alex Maldonado.

Visitation will begin on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral service will held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Interment to follow at Batesville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Adam Ramirez, Josh Ramirez, Fabian Rodrigues, Eric Vela Sr., Eric Vela Jr., Robert Martinez and Shaun Austin.
