Eluterio Cazares Sr.

Eluterio Cazares Sr. of Batesville passed away on February 8, 2014 at Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 90. He was born on December 23, 1923 in Eagle Pass to Antonio and Maria Cantu Cazares. He married Santos Macias in San Antonio on March 29, 1954. He is survived by his wife of 59 years daughters, Diana C. Correa and husband Rogelio and Maribel C. Correa and husband Dagoberto sons, Eluterio Cazares Jr., Carlos Cazares, Julian Cazares and wife Elsa, and Fernando Cazares all of Batesville sister, Trinidad Calderon of San Antonio 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. A rosary will be held on Sunday and a vigil on Monday at 7:00 p.m. at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Batesville. Burial will be held at Old Loma Vista Cemetery in Batesville. Pallbearers will be Rogelio Correa, Dagoberto Correa Sr., Dagoberto Correa Jr., Levi Correa, Fabian Cazares, Jeffery Canales and Rene Rodriguez.
