Elvira Rodriguez

Elvira Vara Rodriguez of Uvalde passed away on January 28, 2023 at her residence at the age of 92.

She was born on July 14, 1930 in Sabinal, Texas to Sara (Juarez) and Miguel Vara, Sr.

She is survived by her husband, John Rodriguez of Uvalde; daughters, Margaret Alvarez of Eagle Pass and Ester Ortega of Illinois; sons, John Rodriguez, of Illinois, Cruz Rodriguez of Illinois, Arturo Rodriguez of Uvalde, Michael Rodriguez of Illinois, and James V. Davis of Illinois; sisters, Sarah Cadena of San Antonio and Susy Perez of Illinois; two brothers, Arturo Vara of San Antonio and Paul Vara of Wisconsin; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
