Emelio Zamora

Emelio T. Moe Zamora passed away in Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital on February 11, 2008 at the age of 61. He was born on May 20, 1946 in Uvalde, Texas to Juan V. and Martina Zamora. He married Alicia Martinez in Uvalde on December 21, 1970. He is survived by his wife of 37 years; daughters; Eliza Zamora and Alicia Melissa Garza both of Kerrville, Texas;

Son; Emelio M. Zamora of Kerrville; sisters; Celia T. Gray Alvarez of Uvalde; Lucy DeLeon of Floresville, Texas; Vicky Zamora and Marty Zamora both of Uvalde, Texas; brothers; Pedro T. Zamora of Uvalde, Texas; and Juan T. Zamora of San Antonio, Texas; two grandchildren; Ricarda Garza; and Ana Alicia Mila Garza; Numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; Cristoval T. Zamora; two nephews; David Moses Zamora and Javier Zamora; one niece; Jacky Allen. A rosary will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at 7:00 PM at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be Friday, February 15, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Uvalde Catholic Cemetery. Father Wieslaw Iwaniec will officiate. Pallbearers will be Ruben Zamora; Emelio Zamora; Pete Zamora; Paul Ayala; John Zamora; Ernie Z. Deleon; Danny Martinez; and Chris Zamora.
