Emma Mchazlett

Mrs. Emma McHazlett of La Pryor passed away December 8, 2022 in Uvalde at the age of 93.

Emma was born on February 21, 1929 to Jesus and Paulita (Gonzales) Martinez in La Pryor, Texas. She married Matthew Gonzales McHazlett on June 15, 1944. Emma was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Mrs. McHazlett is survived by her sister Amalia Esquivel of San Antonio; daughter in-laws Alice “Sissy” McHazlett of La Pryor, Sue McHazlett of Orange Grove; grandchildren Lisa Monett Ermis (Glen) of Orange Grove, Matthew “Andy” McHazlett (Janna) of La Grange, Dwight H. McHazlett Jr. (Rebecca) of Bay City, Lanette McHazlett Sanchez (John) of San Marcos; and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jesus and Paulita; husband Matthew; sons Matthew Jr. and Dwight; siblings Jesus “Chuy” Martinez, Regina Gonzalez, Noe Martinez, Olga Olivo and Cipriano “Mario” Martinez.
