Enriqueta Vera

Enriqueta C. Vera, age 88, passed away peacefully at Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital in San Antonio, Texas Wednesday morning, August 22, 2007.

Mrs. Vera was born July 15, 1919 in Uvalde, Texas.

She is now with the Lord watching down upon us. Her strength and unconditional love will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her daughter, Irma Diaz; grandson, David Diaz; son-in-law, Domingo Cantu, Jr., all of San Antonio, Texas; sister, Carolina Gomez of Uvalde, Texas; brothers, Benito Castillo wife, Geneve of Farmington, New Mexico and Matilde Castillo wife, Celia of Temple, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 7 brothers.

A rosary will be held on Friday at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2007 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Uvalde Catholic Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
