Epifanio Mata Sr.

Epifanio Mata Sr. passed away at his residence in Uvalde on June 1, 2008 at the age of 80. He was born on January 8, 1928 in Laredo, Texas to Daniel and Apolonia Perez. He is survived by three daughters; Lucy Mata of Phoenix, Arizona; Teresa Mata of Burley, Idaho; and Estella Mata of Rupert, Idaho; three sons; Ramon Mata of Heyburn, Idaho; Epifanio Mata Jr. of Mission, Texas; and Juan Mata of Rupert, Idaho; one brother; Jose Mata of Mexico; twenty grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons; Candelario Mata and Eduardo Mata. Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 6, 2008 at 10:00 AM in Hillcrest Cemetery.
