Ernest Garza

Ernest Garza of Concan, formerly of Uvalde passed away on November 15, 2022 in Concan at the age of 62.

He was born on July 23, 1960 in Moorehead, Minnesota to Geneva Alvarado and Arnulfo Guzman.

He married Irma Elia Gonzalez in Uvalde on January 17,2008.

Ernest is survived by his wife of 14 years of Concan; mother, Genoveva Alvarado of Sonora; daughter, Ashia Garza of San Antonio; son, Noel Guzman of Uvalde; sister, Rachel Aguero of Sonora; brother, Lee Guzman; six grandchildren, Cheyanne Gomez, Joey Gomez, Iyana Velasquez, Marissa Guzman, Layla Guzman and Christina Barrientes; five great grandchildren, Cori Contreras, Cyra Contreras, Jaden Gomez, Jayce Davila and Atreyu Gomez; aunt, Andrea Lara of Uvalde; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, sister, Terry Garza and brother, Jesse Garza.

Visitation will on Friday, November 18, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.

Cremation under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
