Ernestina Garcia

Ernestina D. Garcia of Uvalde passed away on April 1, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 70. She was born on May 31, 1944 in Durango, Mexico to Bernardo and Antonia (Reza) De Leon. She married Antonio Garcia in Edinburg on March 7, 1963. Mrs. Garcia is survived by her husband of 52 years Antonio Garcia of Uvalde, daughters; Blanca Mendez and husband Leopoldo of Amarillo; Sandra Villarreal of Weslaco and Angie Solis of Uvalde; sons, Tomas Garcia and wife Janie of Amarillo; Antonio Garcia, Jr. and wife Elizabeth, Jose Luis Garcia and wife Enereida, Ricardo Garcia and wife Maria, Jacinto Garcia and wife Deborah all of Uvalde; Rudy Garcia and wife Christy of Minnesota and Cecilio Garcia and wife Angie of San Antonio; sisters, Maria Del Refugio De Leon of Tennessee and Delia Del Refugio De Leon of Monterrey, Mexico; Thirty-five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. A prayer service will be held on Sunday, April 5 2015 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Her funeral will be held on Monday, April 6, 2015 at 10:00 am at Templo Cristiano Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest cemetery. Pallbearers will be her sons, Tomas, Antonio, Jr., Jose Luis, Ricardo, Jacinto, Rudy and Cecilio Garcia.
