Ernesto Diaz, Jr.

Ernesto B. "Ernie" Diaz Jr. of Uvalde passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 at Memorial Hermann Medical Center in Houston at the age of 41. Ernie was born on February 27, 1976 in Uvalde to Ernesto and Dora (Alvarado) Diaz. He married Jazell Moreno on November 18, 2006 in Uvalde. Ernie is survived by his wife of 11 years; Mother, Dora Diaz of Uvalde; step-son, Matthew Villa of Uvalde; two brothers, John Diaz and wife Elizabeth Bravo of Uvalde and Jerry Diaz and fiancé Ashely Trevino of San Antonio; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A rosary will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 7:00 pm and a Vigil will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church with interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
