Ernesto Hernandez

Ernesto H. Hernandez of Uvalde passed away on April 5, 2009 in Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 65. He was born on May 14, 1943 in Uvalde, Texas to Ricardo and Otilia Hernandez. He is survived by three daughters; Veronica Lomeli and husband, Norberto of Manor; Tammy Grasso and husband, Vincent of Lockhart, Texas; and Jeanette Elizabeth Samaniego of Nuevo Laredo; one son; Ernesto Hernandez and wife, Gloria of Luling, Texas; four sisters; Angelita Buentello and husband, Elipido; and Lupe Hernandez and husband, Miguel all of Uvalde, Texas; Cecilia Castillo and husband, Matilde; and Carmen Maldonado and husband, Gerardo all of Belton, Texas; two brothers; Ricardo Hernandez Jr. and wife, Suse of Belton, Texas; and Jose Hernandez and wife, Dolores of San Antonio, Texas; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lupe Romo Hernandez; one brother; Martin Hernandez; and one sister; Petra Morales. A prayer service will be held on Tuesday at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mr. Hernandez will be Joe Morales; Ruben Hernandez; Ceve Castillo; Roy Castillo; Albert Buentello; and Juan Torres. Honorary Pallbearer Freddie Castillo.
