Ernesto Santos, Sr.

Ernesto Flores Santos, Sr. of Uvalde passed away on August 19, 2015 at his residence at the age of 70. He was born on November 29, 1944 in Uvalde to Tomas Santos and Juanita Flores. He married Anna Peña in Uvalde on September 17, 1999. He is survived by his wife Anna P. Santos; daughters, Christine Maldonado and husband Arturo of Austin and Cassandra De Hoyos of Uvalde; sons, Ernest Santos, Jr. and wife Mary, Cruz Santos and wife Juanita, Leeroy Santos and wife Arcie and Michael Santos all of Uvalde, Roy Elemen Jr. and wife Mary of Adkins. Grandchildren Kathryn Santos, Amanda Lynn Santos, Samantha Santos, CJ Santos, Christopher Santos, Jeremy Santos Diego Marines, Nataly Santos and Katherine Fulton and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Tomas Santos and Juanita Flores and son Gilbert Santos. A rosary will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2015 and Friday, August 21, 2015 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be at Hillcrest cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tino Gonzales, Tony Perez, Rene Romero, Evaristo Albarado, Sr., Robert Flores and Alfonso Flores. Honorary pallbearers will be Rafael Vera, Robert Castillon, Robert Rodriguez, Jose Torrez, Roy Luevano and Mona Cano.
