Erwin Klaus

Erwin Klaus of Knippa passed away on February 28, 2012 in Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 87. He was born on May 4, 1924 in Lavaca County, Texas to Arthur and Bessie Firasek Klaus. He married Joyce Ann Gohmert in Cuero on May 31, 1950. He is survived by two sons, Alan Klaus and wife, Nancy and Gary Klaus, all of Knippa four grandchildren, Kaeli Brown and husband, Rusty and Kolby Klaus and wife, Marlie, all of San Antonio Justin Klaus and wife, Jennifer of Uvalde and Pam Custer Woods and husband, Chip of Alice, TX five greatgrandchildren, Cinco and Carsyn Woods Sutton and Mason Brown and Ava Klaus and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents wife and sister, Irene Klaus Estellel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Knippa with burial to follow in Knippa Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kolby Klaus Justin Klaus Rusty Brown and Chip Woods. Honorary pallbearers will be former Knippa FFA students and associates of Revaldina District. Memorial donations may be made to Uvalde Hospice, 124 Royal Lane, Uvalde, TX 78801 or to the charity of ones choice.
