Esmeralda Mata

Esmeralda Mata of Uvalde passed away on April 16, 2012 at Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 44. She was born on June 7, 1967 to Aurelio V. and Guadalupe Lira Mata Sr. in Uvalde. She is survived by her parents of Uvalde, maternal grandmother, Josefina Lira of Uvalde, sisters, Brenda Hidalgo of San Antonio, Texas, Criselda Vasquez of Uvalde brothers, Aurelio Mata Jr. , Jeremy Andrew Mata both of Austin, niece, Amanda Hidalgo, nephews, Philip Vasquez, Aaron Vasquez and Alejandro Mata and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Marcelino Lira and paternal grandparents, Hilario and Concha Mata. A rosary will be held on Tuesday April 17, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday April 18, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Aurelio Mata Jr., Jeremy Andrew Mata, Philip Vasquez, Marcelino Lira Jr., Daniel Hidalgo and Mario Vasquez. Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron Vasquez, Amanda Hidalgo, Alejandro Mata and Kristen Graham.
