Esperanza Chavez

Esperanza Hope G. Chavez of Uvalde passed away on February 3, 2014 at University Hospital at the age of 58. She was born on November 17, 1955 in Winters, Texas to Jose Carbajal and Maria Gutierrez Chavez. She was survived by her father, Jose Chavez sisters, Dionecia Lara and husband Carlos of Portales, New Mexico, Rebecca Chavez, Linda Chavez, Mellie C. Nava and husband Bobby Jr., Elisa Chavez all of Uvalde, Rosa Elia C. Alvarado and husband John of El Paso, Cristina Rios and husband Jesus of Kenedy brothers, Arturo Chavez and wife Anna Maria, and Ricardo Chavez and wife Carla all of Uvalde, Gilbert Chavez and companion Mickie of Tuleta and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, sister, Guadalupe Chavez and brother, Jose Chavez Jr. A vigil will be held on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Arturo Chavez, Juan Alvarado, Carlos Lara Jr., TJ Samarron, Jesus Rios Jr., Gilbert Chavez Jr., Richard Chavez and Victor Chavez.
