Esperanza H. “Lanchy” Trevino, 62, of Uvalde, Texas, peacefully passed away on April 17, 2025. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who remember her warm spirit and loving nature.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 10 a.m., with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, followed by interment at Uvalde Catholic Cemetery.
Born on January 4, 1963, in Uvalde, Texas, she was the daughter of Eulalia (Gutierrez) and Juan Hernandez. On March 16, 1991, she married her beloved husband, Michael Angelo Trevino, in Uvalde, where they nurtured a loving partnership for 34 years.
Esperanza is survived by her cherished husband of Uvalde, her four sisters: Linda Gonzalez of Uvalde, Maria Teresa Castillo of Belton, Esmeralda Hernandez of Uvalde, and Virginia Gallegos of Knippa; her brother, Valdomero Hernandez of Uvalde; and numerous nieces and nephews who will carry her memory forward.
She is preceded in death by her parents and four brothers: Nolberto Hernandez, Juan Manuel Hernandez, Marcos Hernandez, and Juan Luis Hernandez, along with her nephew, Adrian Gomez and niece, Jessica Hernandez.
Pallbearers will be Richard Robles, Efrian Gonzalez, Hector Gomez, Alex Morales, Mark Morales, Haiden Morales, George Castillo, Jr., and Renaldo Castillo
Honorary pallbearer will be Jonathan Morales.
Esperanza's legacy lives on through the love she shared and the lives she touched. She will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew her.
