Esta Mcelroy

Esta Lee McElroy of Uvalde passed away on December 27, 2015 at her son's residence. She was born on October 2, 1924 in Bentonville, AR to Joe F. Tennyson and Mattie Dodson Tennyson. She married William Theodore "Ted" McElroy in Bentonville on April 1, 1940. He preceded her in death in 2009. She is survived by a son, William Vann McElroy and wife, Gale of Uvalde; daughters-in-law, Donna McElroy of Houston and Charlotte McElroy of Corpus Christi; seven grandchildren, Kimberly Olmstead and husband, Michael; Leslie Bywaters and husband, Dan; Joely Hendrix and husband, Stephen; Ashley Pattison and husband, Neil; William Vann McElroy, Jr. and wife, Margo; Chad McElroy; and Alli McElroy; and twelve great-grandchildren, Jake, Jonathan, Michelle, and Macie Bywaters; Grayson and Nick Hendrix; Emory and Austyn Pattison; William McElroy; and Caleb, Abigail, and Daniel Olmstead. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Joe McElroy and Dale McElroy; two brothers, and one sister. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Getty St. Church of Christ with burial following in Hillcrest Cemetery. Mr. King Burney will officiate. Pallbearers will be Bob Reagan, Jim Capeheart, Ted Sanderlin, Stacey Keeney, Ricky McNeil, Steve Cargil, V.J. McElroy, and Chad McElroy. Memorial donations may be made to Getty St. Church of Christ or Church of Christ in Knippa.
