Estela Mendoza

Estela H. Mendoza of Uvalde passed away on January 6, 2017 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 56. She was born on February 14, 1960 in Leakey to Tomas Hernandez and Paulina Ramirez. She is survived by her husband, Abraham Mendoza of Uvalde; two daughters, Christela Mendoza and fiancé, Joshua Clark of San Antonio and Sara Hernandez of Uvalde; four sisters, Lucy Gallegos and husband Jerry, Polly Flores and husband, Manuel, Leticia Hernandez Cobarrubia, and Gloria Cazares and husband, Jacinto, all of Uvalde; two brothers, Tomas Hernandez, II and wife Belen of Uvalde and David Hernandez and wife, Angel of Hondo; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Abraham Mendoza, Jr.; and two brothers, Daniel Hernandez and Luis Martin Hernandez. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, January 9, 2017 at 4:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Abraham Mendoza, Tomas Hernandez III, Joshua Clark, Jacinto Cazares, Daniel Herrera, David Manual Hernandez, Alfonso Mendoza and Felipe Mendoza. Honorary pallbearers will be Xavier Cobarrubia, Michael E. Cobarrubia, and Johnathan Hernandez.
