Estella Leon

Estella De Leon of Uvalde passed away at the Amistad Nursing Home on Monday, December 5, 2016 at the age of 66. Ms. De Leon was born July 7, 1950 in Billings, Montana to Porfirio and Severiana (Aviles) De Leon. She is survived by four sisters; Carmen Morales, Gloria Rubio, both of Uvalde, Irma Hernandez and husband Pete of San Antonio and Janie Buantello and husband Pete of Austin; brothers, Pedro De Leon and wife, Delia of Uvalde and Porfirio De Leon, Jr. and wife Gloria of Devine.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Minerva Sanchez.
A rosary will be held on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Juan Torres, Jr., Porfirio Torres, Leon De Leon, John Paul Morales, Eugene Hernandez, and Noel Sanchez.
