Estella Reyes

Estella Rodriguez Reyes of Uvalde, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 84.

Estella was born on March 13, 1938 in Uvalde to Juan and Maria (Garivai) Rodriguez.

She married Jose Reyes on September 20, 1969 in Uvalde.

She was a member of the Guadalupanos, church choir and De Colores at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Estella is survived by her husband of 53, Jose Reyes of Uvalde; daughter, Josefina E. Martinez and husband Danny of Uvalde; son, Jose Reyes Jr. and wife Yesennia of San Antonio; three grandchildren, Daniel R. Martinez Jr, Katarina Martinez and Joaquin Jose Reyes; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Estella was preceded in death by grandson Sergio Jose Reyes, four sister, Refugia Velasquez, Beta Aguero, Modesta Puentes and Anita Gonzales; brother Loge Tobias.

Visitation for Estella will start at 1:00 pm on Monday, September 19, 2022 at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A vigil will be held at 7:00 pm on Monday, September 19, 2022 at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearer will be Joe Reyes, Danny Martinez, Daniel R. Martinez Jr., Herman Pesina, Erikk Castellon,  and JR Caranza
