Estella Rodriguez

Estella L. Rodriguez of Uvalde passed away on June 2, 2008 in North Gate Health Rehab in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 83. She was born on July 5, 1924 in Uvalde, Texas to Santos and Aida Luna. She is survived by one daughter; Minerva Fuentes and husband, Natividad Jr. of Uvalde, Texas; one son; Rene Rodriguez and wife, Sharon of Houston, Texas; five sisters; Olivia Torres and Belia Cervantes both of Uvalde, Texas; Delia Cornell of California; Irma Alonzo of San Antonio, Texas and Elida Canales of Houston, Texas; three brothers; Santos Luna Jr. of Uvalde, Texas; Homero Luna of Corpus Christi, Texas; and Elias Luna of Harlingen, Texas; four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter; Sylvia Delgado; sister; Maria Cruz; three brothers; Victor Luna, Ernesto Luna, and Armando Luna. A rosary will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 5, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:00 AM with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin Delgado, David Fuentes, Zachery Rodriguez, Daniel Perez, Richard Fuentes, and Ernesto Luna.
