Estella Solar

Estella R. Solar of Uvalde passed away on September 3, 2014 at Uvalde Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 92. She was born on December 5, 1921 in Uvalde to Jacobo and Margarita De Hoyos Rivera. She is survived by her daughter, Susana Rivera of Hobbs, New Mexico brother, Fidencio Rivera of Uvalde, Candelario Rivera and wife Oralia, Victoriano Rivera and wife Maria and Silverio Rivera and wife Rosa all of Monclova, Mexico sisters, Zapopan Chavez of Jalisco, Mexico, Sofia Wong, Maria Del Pilar and Margarita Garza all of Monclova 4 grandchildren, James Riggs and wife Terry, Christina Charles and husband Jacob, Justin Riggs and wife Shelia and Cassandra Rivera 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Petra Vasquez husband, Isidro Solar and her parents. A rosary will be held on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing EstesKnowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
