Ester Garza

Ester Vasquez Garza of Batesville passed away on August 28, 2019 at her local residence at the age of 76 in Batesville, Texas. She was born on January 2, 1943 in Batesville, to Angel Sr. and Roberta (Gueda) Vasquez.

She married Armando Garza Sr. of Batesville on December 2, 2004 in Crystal City, Texas.

She is survived by her husband; daughters, Sylvia Garza of Batesville, Delma Phillips of Batesville; sons, Daniel Garza Sr. and wife, Petra of Batesville, Armando Garza Jr. and wife Maria of Batesville, Alejandro “Alex” Garza and wife, Eloisa Gauna of Batesville; sisters, Peidad Vasquez of Portland Oregon, Ofelia Hernandez of Batesville, Martha Vasquez of Pasadena; brothers, Angel Vasquez Jr. of Batesville, Lucio Vasquez of Batesville, Benito Vasquez of Batesville, Ofilio Vasquez of Batesville, Elias Vasquez of Batesville; 16 grandchildren , 15 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Ramon Vasquez.

A rosary will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 and Sunday, September 1, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary in Uvalde. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, September 2, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Batesville following interment at Batesville Cemetery.
