Eulalia C. Reyes, a beloved homemaker, mother, and wife, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2025, in her hometown of Sabinal, Texas, just days shy of her 95th birthday. Born on February 12, 1930, in Sabinal where she was raised with her 9 siblings, Eulalia dedicated her life to her family and community, becoming a cherished matriarch known for her warmth and humor.
Eulalia was an active and valued member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, where her unwavering faith played a significant role in her life. She took great joy in various activities, including sewing, gardening, baking, crafting, and crochet, showcasing her strengths and creativity in all that she pursued. Those fortunate enough to know Eulalia remember her as a funny and lighthearted person, always quick to share a joke or bring a smile to others' faces.
She was educated at Trio in Sabinal, and her legacy will live on through her many family members. Eulalia is survived by her sons Robert, who is married to Janie; Felix, who is married to Olga; Jesus (Chuy), who is married to Mary; Remigio Jr., who is married to Edna; Ricardo Reyes, Enrique Reyes and wife Margaret, her daughter Bea Miller, married to Darian, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, who are a testament to the love and care she provided throughout her life.
Eulalia was preceded in death by her husband, Remigio Reyes Sr., her son Jose Luis Reyes, and her baby named Angel, along with her parents Jose and Concepcion Contreras.
The family will welcome friends and relatives to pay their respects during visitation at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary in Sabinal on February 6, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A Rosary will be held at the same location that evening at 7:00 PM. The funeral service will be the following day, February 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Sabinal, where Eulalia will be laid to rest during a graveside service at 11:30 AM.
Eulalia C. Reyes leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and an enduring spirit that will forever warm the hearts of those she touched. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
