Eusebia Ortega

Mrs. Eusebia Medrano Ortega of Uvalde passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 92. Mrs. Ortega was born on October 29, 1923 in Fentress, Texas to Santiaga (Castillo) and Susano Medrano. She married Macario Ortega in California. Mrs. Ortega is survived by her husband Macario Ortega; two daughters, Lourdes C. Roman and husband Arturo and Guadalupe Castillon; three sons, Edmundo Castillon, Jr. and wife Margarita, Enrique Castillon and wife Olga and Fernando Castillon all of Uvalde; fifteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ortega was preceded in death by her first husband Edmundo Castillon, her parents, three sisters and one brother.
A rosary will be held on Friday, February 26, 2016 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church with interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Richard Villarreal, Jr. Jose Castillon, Fernando Castillon, Jr. Troy Castillon, Jacob Castillon and Gilbert Carrizales.
