Eustorgio "Coque" Gonzales of La Pryor passed away on April 16, 2017 in Uvalde Healthcare and Rehab at the age of 80. He was born on July 6, 1936 in Tilden to Silverio Gonzales and Paula Benitez Gonzales. He married Elida Tamez on September 6, 1956 in Kingsville. He is survived by his wife of 60 years; son, Roel Gonzales, Sr. and wife, Rafaela of Uvalde; daughter, Silvia Flores and husband, Alvino of La Pryor; five grandchildren, Alvino Flores IV and wife, Debbie; Patricia Valle and husband, Ismael; Roel Gonzales, Jr.; Randy Gonzales; and Brianna Gonzales; and three great-grandchildren, Gabriel Flores; Jasmyne Valle; and Alyssa Valle. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Rodolfo Gonzales; sister, Lydia Cavasos; and niece, Angie Gonzales. Mr. Gonzales worked with horses all his life and was a former King Ranch and Chaparrosa Ranch cowboy. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM in La Pryor Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roel Gonzales, Sr.; Roel Gonzales, Jr.; Randy Gonzales; Alvino Flores III; Alvino Flores IV; Ismael Valle; and Brianna Gonzales.
