Evangelina Z. Flores

Evangelina Z. Flores, 86, of La Pryor, Texas passed away on September 6, 2024, at her residence. 

Visitation will begin on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 3 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. 

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. 

Interment will follow at La Pryor Cemetery. 

She was born on January 15, 1938, in Pearsall, Texas to Michaela (Garza) and Jose Maria Zamora. 

She married Juan O. Flores on May 24, 1953, in Eagle Pass, Texas. 

She is survived by two daughters, Delia Gonzales and husband, Carlos of Bloomington and Adelita Ripley and husband, Orlo of La Pryor; two sons, Johnny Flores, Jr. and wife, Cindy of San Antonio and Serapio Flores and wife, Mary Ann of La Pryor; brother, Frank Zamora and wife, Rosa of Lubbock; sister-in-law, Jovita Zamora of Lubbock; daughter in law, Becky Flores of La Pryor; 17 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Martin Flores; brother, Joe Zamora, grandson, Johnny Saenz, two great-great grandsons, Liam Wyatt Harrington and Margarito Balcazar; and great-great granddaughter, Mila Grace Harrington. 

Pallbearers will be Joe Gonzales, Isaac S. Flores, Jesse J. Salazar, Johnny Flores III John David Flores, and Erin Patino. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Salazar, Charlie Gonzales, Concepcion Gonzales, Dereck De La Cruz, Achilles Pargas, and Gustavo Pargas.
