Felipe Martinez

Felipe “Pache” Gonzales Martinez of Uvalde passed away on December 3, 2019 in San Antonio at the age of 70.  He was born on November 28, 1949 in Uvalde to Felipe S. and Francisca (Gonzales) Martinez.

He married Isabel Torres in Uvalde on August 4, 1978.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years of Uvalde; daughters, Melissa Manning and husband Jesse of Grandprairie, Monica M. Martinez, Lisa Martinez and  Victoria Martinez, all of San Antonio, Leana Martinez and companion, Cassandra Villanueva and Daniella Rodriguez and husband, Karlos all Uvalde; sisters, Rosario Hernandez and husband, Juan of Uvalde, Maggie Rodriguez and husband, Fito of Knippa, Rita Ramos and husband, Carlos of Uvalde, Marta Gallegos of Uvalde; brothers, Jesse Martinez and wife, Lynda, Ricardo Martinez and wife, Rosalina all of Uvalde, Enrique Martinez and wife, Dora of Knippa and Cipriano Martinez and wife, Cynthia of Uvalde; grandchildren, Felipe M. Martinez, Giovanna Marquez, and Briana Manning; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Marco Antonio Marquez, Jr.

Visitation will begin on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A rosary will be held on Saturday, Sunday and Monday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
