Fermin Rivera Prado

Fermin Prado, 94, of Batesville died on March 18, 2025, at Uvalde Memorial Hospital in Uvalde.

He was born on July 10, 1930, in Batesville to Rebecca (Rivera) and Francisco Prado.

He is survived by his daughters; Melissa Ramos and husband, Robert of Batesville, Andrea Thelma De Leon and husband, Arturo of Batesville; sons, Juan Prado of Austin and Carlos Prado of Batesville; sister, Eva Mason of Batesville; grandchildren, Brian Ramos, Robert James Ramos, Sierra Ramos, Carlos Alberto Prado, Jr., Adam Prado, Juan Prado, Jr., April Ruiz, Kayla Prado, Brianna De Los Santos, Arturo De Leon, Jr., Debbie De Leon and numerous great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Feliz Luna; daughter, Asnet Prado; sons, Eduardo Prado, Fermin Prado, Jr.; and grandson, Hector Prado.

Visitation will begin on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 2 pm with a prayer service at 7 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral service will be held on Sunday March 23, 2025, at 12 pm at El Tiemplo La Hermosa. Interment to follow at Batesville Cemetery.
