Fernando Gonzales

Fernando S. Gonzales of La Pryor passed away at his residence on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at age of 78.
Fernando was born on August 11, 1940 in La Pryor to Andres P. and Hortencia (Salazar) Gonzales.  He married Angelica Najera on August 12, 1961 in La Pryor.
Mr. Gonzales is survived by his wife of 57 years, Angelica N. Gonzales of La Pryor; daughter, Anida Jean Gonzales-Levesque and husband Raymond of Ashburn, Virginia; two sons, Fernando Gonzales Jr. and fiancee Rachel Martinez of La Pryor and LeRoy Gonzales and wife Lysette of Crystal City; two sisters, Gloria Tighe of Katy and Diana Alexander of Nettleton Mississippi; one brother Andres Gonzales Jr. of Pearland; 8 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
A rosary will be held on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 27, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in La Pryor with interment to follow at La Pryor Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Antonio Gonzales, Jr. Andres Gonzales III, Fernando Gonzales, Jr. Raymond Levesque, Saul Ramos and Luis Miguel Ramos.
Honorary pallbearers will be Nadia C. Gonzales, Gabriela B. Gonzales, Angelica R. Levesque and Savina M. Levesque.
