Florencia Diaz

Florencia Trevino Diaz of Uvalde passed away on June 30, 2009 in Santa Rosa Hospital in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 73. She was born on June 6, 1936 in Carrizo Springs, Texas to Dionicio and Victoria Trevino. She married Abel C. Diaz on April 23, 1957 in Uvalde, Texas. She is survived by her husband of 52 years Abel C. Diaz of Uvalde, Texas; three daughters; Norma T. Diaz of Houston, Texas; Anna Maria Ricon of Hondo, Texas; and Victoria Diaz Briones of La Pryor, Texas; three sons; Abel Diaz Jr. and Alberto T. Diaz both of Houston, Texas; and Arnoldo T. Diaz of Ft. Hood in Kileen, Texas; one sister; Vivian Vasquez of Uvalde, Texas; thirteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers; Dionicio Trevino Jr., Juan Trevino, and Antonio Trevino; three sisters; Consuelo Velasquez, Nicolasa Munoz, and Angelita Rodriguez. A rosary will be held on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 6, 2009 at 11:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
