Florentina Perez

Florentina Perez of Uvalde passed away at the Amistad Nursing Home on April 26, 2016 at the age of 72. She was born on October 16, 1943 to Celestina (Lopez) and Bernardo Martinez. She was married to Joaquin Perez III in Uvalde on September 28, 1958. She is survived by two daughters; Gloria Perez Velasquez and companion, Fidel Ramos, and Ester Perez and companion Marco Blanco all of Uvalde; son, Joaquin M. Perez IV and wife Jade of Uvalde; four sisters, Amelia Ybarra of Uvalde, Nena Garcia and husband Armando of Eagle River, Wisconsin, Petra Garza of Prosser, Washington, and Adelina Rangel of Uvalde; 15 grand children, numerous grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Perez is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Gilberto Perez; four sisters, Maria Ortega, Manuela Borrego, Julia Aguilar, and Minerva Alvarez; and one brother, Serverano Lopez.
A rosary will be recited on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 2, 2016 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church. Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
